Like no other product innovation, the R Class unites various vehicle design concepts such as station wagon, van, sports sedan or SUV in a unique and independent character. And refinements from Carlsson give the R 500 even greater individuality and uniqueness.

That this spaceship needs power is visible at first glance. For moving this much mass, the performance-enhancing 430 HP/316 KW and 6000 rpm are just right for the driver of the new R500. Carlsson lists the torque as 650 Nm at 2800-4800 rpm.

Performanc is enhanced using the Carlsson Kompressor-System, which was developed in close cooperation with Ogura Clutch Co. Ltd. The advantages of the high-performance charger manufactured under Wankel license, are its high efficiency, low-wearing quiet operation, extreme durability, immediate response, and light weight.

The CK50 was lowered with the new control system C-Tronic® SUSPENSION. Lowering by approximately 30 mm results in a sportier look and reduces roll, which improves the driving dynamics.

Dominating the view of the back of the CM50 K are Carlsson’s sports rear silencers with twin oval tailpipes, which not only generate impressive, sonorous sound but are also optimized – compared to series vehicles – in exhaust gas back pressure and pipe run design and thus lead to improved vehicle performance.

The Carlsson Aerodynamics Kit for the CM50 K includes an easily modifiable front spoiler lip and the new Carlsson rear apron insert. All components of this little “package” represent the ideal basis for R Class drivers who want enhanced driving dynamics and sportiness in these largest models from Mercedes Benz. This is achieved through an ideal interplay of individual components, which notably reduces lift in the R Class.
